Intuit Payroll Options

Intuit offers several payroll options because there’s no such thing as “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to payroll. Pricing can be based on payroll frequency, the number of employees, the method of payment, and the method of processing. I can help you identify which choice is right for you.

QuickBooks Basic Payroll
Designed for processing payroll within QuickBooks Pro, Premier or Enterprise, this solution meets simple payroll processing needs but it does not include payroll tax report processing. You are responsible for everything. Standard retail price is about $25 per month plus $2 per employee, per month. Purchase this solution directly from Intuit.

QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll
Designed for processing payroll within QuickBooks Pro, Premier or Enterprise, for full integration including job-costing, this solution meets all of the normal payroll processing needs and includes both State and Federal payroll tax report processing. You are responsible for everything. Standard retail price is about $39 per month plus $2 per employee, per month. There is also an Enhanced Payroll version for QuickBooks Online without the robust job-costing feature.  Purchase this solution from your Intuit Solution Provider, 2nd Site Business Solutions to receive a discount for the first year.

QuickBooks  Assisted Payroll – available only through an Intuit Premier Reseller
Designed for processing payroll within QuickBooks Pro, Premier or Enterprise, for full integration including job-costing, this solution meets all of the normal payroll processing needs. You are responsible for daily work and running the payroll but Intuit will make your tax payments, file your tax reports and produce your W-2 forms. Full Service Payroll
You enter the employees and the hours, Intuit does the rest. Located on the web, this solution is easy to access from anywhere, and integrates with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and QuickBooks for Mac via a download. Standard retail price is $99 per month plus $2 per employee, per month. This includes the set up, ongoing support, unlimited payroll runs per month including special payrolls for new hires or departing employees, all payroll taxes paid on time, all tax forms completed and filed on time, everything is done for you. Special Note: QuickBooks payroll doesn’t handle some multi-state payrolls very well, particularly if any individual employee works in multiple states. Use caution when considering QuickBooks for multi-state payroll situations. Basic and Full Service Payroll don’t do job costing.
